As a minister of Religious Science, Rev. Debbie found a way to spiritually understand the love she has for animals, for people, and for life itself. Brought up as the only daughter and oldest child in a home that was strict, poor and Jehovah’s Witness, she always thought that life was meant to be enjoyed, lived to its fullest. This did not match what she was taught!

She left her Midwest home at eighteen, and moved to California where she lived on a boat for ten years, has rescued and placed many animals (the first one rescued at sea), and was married twice.
